About Me

I am a residential real estate reporter at The Real Deal. I cover the largest players, developments and trends in the world of residential real estate with a focus on New York City.

Some of my favorite stories I've worked on are the downfall of a chain-smoking luxury developer working on his last big project, a data-driven analysis of resales in New York's Billionaire's and a series of investigations into Jeffrey Epstein's previously undisclosed real estate investments.

My profile of newly-instated Opendoor CEO Kaz Nejatian was awarded a National Association of Real Estate Editors Gold Award for the Best Residential Real Estate Trade or B-to-B Magazine Story in 2025.

Before The Real Deal, I covered registered investment advisors at Citywire and interned at the Washington Monthly and the Honolulu Civil Beat. I have also written abbreviated reviews for The Drift.

I earned dual master’s degrees from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism and Columbia School of International and Public and Affairs. At the journalism school, I received the Phillip Greer Award for Outstanding Financial Writing for my story on the luxury fitness industry, and unofficially for picking the best stock in my business writing class.

Prior to attending Columbia, I spent several years living in New York City where I spent most of my time staring at Excel during the day and staring down opposing basketball players at night. I am in too many men's basketball leagues and always open to joining more.
